Repro/Vintage Clothes in Denmark and EU

If you, like me, love vintage style, I suppose you also have thought why all the great things always are found in the US. And if you decide to buy from the US (and live in EU, like me) you have to be prepared to pay a lot in VAT and tax and other naughtinesses. Not very attractive.

But then I thought again, and now I've collected a long list of links to websites (and some of them even have a physical shop) in Denmark and EU, so you can buy without being afraid of your shopping ending up being very expensive. This is meant as a list you can bookmark and return to if you need something special. I will update it now and then, if I found something new. Here we go:

Needlework

About four years ago I gave myself a challenge - I would learn to knit. I have never been able to knit, my family is/was not a needlework family. But my mother and sister in law is. They created one more lovely thing after the other for their wardrobe. So my sister in law became my knitting coach, and I'm a nice student. Here are what I've made since last spring:

A spring green cardigan with very nice daisy buttons:

It is the very first time I've knitted in pattern, so I am VERY proud!

Look at the nice buttons:

I don't know why the colour is so strange in the photo, the first photo shows the correct colour.

After finishing the green cardigan, I knitted this easy grey mohair blouse:

It is knitted of two yars, a medium grey mohair (very fluffy) and a grey flax with silver, which gave just a bit of silver glitter in the fluffyness without looking like a disco queen. I love it.

And I've just finished this raspberry pink crocheted cardigan:

Which was quite boring to make, since it was the same stiches all the time. But it is very nice and it fits me perfectly. I look forward to wearing it next summer, where I'm going to abuse it.

And in between, I've crocheted acorns like a mad:

I've also made a lot in gold which will be nice hostess gifts during December.

Knitting and crocheting is also the best anti-stress drug I've found, and as an extra bonus I create usable things for my wardrobe and as gifts.

PS: Did you notice the dress form? Dear Husband has given it to me, and I LOVE it! :)

Late Summer and Autumn Nails

This is the last late summer and first autumn nails in one post.

I really loved the strawberry nails:
Sannes Autumn Nails 2014
Very easy to make. I pulled the green polish with a dotting tool and added long black dots with one of son's Warhammer brushes. The red polish is an old OPI mini without a name.

And here is my first ombra:

Made of all the pink polishes I never use. I was so fond of it that I definately will make it again. Very easy, when you don't have to mix the colours for the ombra.

Fish theme on Essie Bikini So Teeny:

And the Kiss Kermit manicure from our nail night, which I fell in love with and had to do on my own nails:

The green polish is Inglot 319.

Here I had to test an OPI set I bought for some gift cards:
Sannes Autumn Nails 2014
The set is made of OPI Kermit Me to Speak (a fantastic duochrome plum purple) and the glitter polish named Gaining Mole-Mentum.

And I used the rest of the gift cards to buy Ciaté's nice autumn house with lovely mini polishes:

You can see all the colours at Eva's blog. The green is Tickle my fancy, the red is Can Can and the blue is Knee Highs.

Here is the first real autumn nails:

I've stamped leaves, acorns, and pumpkins upon a cheapie from the supermarket.

The next week I stamped lots of leaves, since I liked the motif so much:

The green polish is Models Own Beetle Juice Golden Green, and a new bronze polish also from Models Own Bronze Rage.

The blue duochrome is also from the Models Own Beetle Juice collection, namely Aqua Violet:

Upon it I have used Models Own Northern Lights as a drip manicure.

Here I have tried to take the photo in another ankle to catch the duo:

Hello Autumn

Goodbye summer. Although it was really good, it is never long enough.Well, hello to autumn. One of my favourite seasons. It is incredible beautiful, and I can decorate, which I love! Last year I showed you my little collection of autumn decorations. It has been extended a bit since.

Wooden candle sticks with Edelweiss flowers, bought in Austria during our summer vacation:

Small pine trees made of cortex, bought at the same shop as the candle sticks:

This year I have bought a lot of ornamental gourds for both inside and outside use:

Another carved wood candle stick bought in Austria:

DH could not resist his funny face. The pillow cases with autumn leaves are bought at Ellos a few years ago.

I have also bought a vine of artificial autumn leaves in Austria:

Here I have twisted it around the cord of my lamp.

And I have crocheted acorns:

So nice and cozy. I will make some golden ones for December gifts.

And this lovely autumn table cloth is also bought in Austria during our summer vacation:

DH could not resist this nice rusty basket which now decorates our lovely new main stairs:

It is really great because I can decorate it differently all year round.

And a few days ago we got a huge pile of firewood:

Which our dear son helped stacking, so now we are ready for both autumn and winter.
